Be Encouraged, Be Inspired, Be Motivated
Yesterday I was binge watching YouTube videos and came across many empowering, motivational young women. No matter what they do in their own field, I found myself really inspired by each of them. Some were younger than me, some were probably my age or older but that didn’t matter because they were all doing great things and had one thing in common – passion!
In this age of blogging, YouTube or generally being a creative, social media heavily influences our perception of things. What we have to remember is that not everything shown on social media is a true reflection of someones reality. This is where people show themselves on their best days so we shouldn’t get so bogged down ourselves in comparison to someones so called ‘perfect life’. Of course I am speaking from experience when I say this (and I am almost certain most people have done this themselves), it’s too easy to pick up your mobile and be scrolling through the gram to see someone excel in some way shape or form, (whether it be career wise or in their personal lives) and look at yourself and think ‘what am I doing with my life?‘
Instead of looking at this as an opportunity to put ourselves down, we should use this as fuel to strive for better. Highlight the things you are good at, the things you are passionate about and use this to be better than you were yesterday. Yes I know it may not be as simple as that but take steps to work on becoming a better you. Being envious or complaining about other people doing well is not a good look, especially if you cannot be bothered to do something about your own situation. It is hard work to stay constantly motivated to do well but if you don’t do it for yourself, no one else will. Don’t be bitter, be better!
There’s nothing more inspiring to me than to see women bossing up and holding their own! There is just something about strong women that encourages me to want to do more. It’s not a competition and we all have our own lanes, but can you imagine how powerful we would be if we all put our best foot forward and focused on something we were passionate about supporting each other along the way? Regardless of what it is you do, be humble as we all have to start from somewhere.
What motivates you to do more or keep going? Why not share links below of someone who inspires you?
Thank you for reading and hope to see you on my next post!
Keep up to date with me on Social Media and come say hi!
