I have been on a spending ban (or at least I am trying) until I saw a friend of mine (Laura) with yet another stunning palette which I wanted in on! The palette in question is none other than the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette. I had to buy this from the US and ship it over as Beauty Bay was out of stock at the time but I believe it is available now if you want to get your hands on it for just £18! #thankmelater
The palette itself is made up of 10 eyeshadows (split across matte and shimmer) and 4 gorgeous highlighters which range from a subtle rose pink to a deep gold which I feel would suit most if not all skin tones but I personally find the deeper shades very complementary to darker skin tones. I tend to gravitate towards warmer more neutral shades on my eyelids unless I am going out, that’s when I get a bit more daring with eyeshadow (nothing too extreme but a little more out there for me LOL).
The consistency of the eyeshadows are perfect for blending to a novice like me. I’m not very skilled with eyeshadow yet but the smoothness makes it much easier to apply and blend together. I tend to gravitate towards palettes that have multiple shaded of which I can wear one single colour for simplicity.
NYX Lip Bits
I’ve got a few NYX lip products but I’m really happy to add these into my collection. I managed to pick up the matte lip cream in Abu Dhabi and Berlin along with the lip liner in the shade Urban Cafe. I’ve now got 3 go to shades in these cremes which I think are perfect for my complexion. Berlin is the perfect nude for me, whilst Abu Dhabi is a nice contrast which I tend to blend with a darker shade. One that was already in my collection is Copenhagen which I absolutely adore! And they smell so good too!
What have you been purchasing recently? Do you lean towards specific colours in the spring/summer months?
Thank you for reading and hope to see you on my next post!
