Why It’s OK to lose your blogging mojo

Why It's OK to lose your blogging mojo

Sometimes I just don’t want to communicate. In real life and online. Being a blogger makes no exception to this. It may seem like I’ve recently ‘taken a break’ from blogging but actually, I have had to get on with real life and blogging had been put on a back burner. I’ve lost my blogging mojo. People make the assumption that blogging is simple, a few lipsticks here, a few meaningful quotes there and tada… a formula to blogging made easy. It’s not so easy. I wrote a post here sharing a few tips to keep blogging but sometimes when you are super busy you just can’t juggle it all.

Have I lost my blogging mojo?

I think it is safe to say there has been a combination of events that had made me lose my mojo to blog. I set myself a goal to put out three blog posts per week but right now according to that, I am an #epicfail! It’s not that I do not want to blog, I’ve just lost my mojo to do so. I am lacking ideas, lacking the enthusiasm and quite simply, cannot for the life of me find the motivation to blog on top of life itself. It may seem horrific in the world of blogging to not post in a week but this is how it is sometimes. I am sure I am not the first and most certainly won’t be the last blogger to feel this way and that’s OK – losing your blogging mojo can be a good thing and here’s why.

5 Reasons it’s OK to lose your blogging mojo

Content will not be forced – You are more likely to produce stronger content rather than post for the sake of posting

Gain new ideas/inspiration – Taking time out can help with new ideas. When you are not constantly focusing on something, ideas will flow naturally

Less pressure to compete with other bloggers – You will have less time to focus on what other bloggers are up to. I think we’re all guilty of this at times

You will see who your true supporters are – People who genuinely support and follow your blog/social media will still be there for you when you get out of the blogging rut – they’re the real MVPs!

Blog your passion – You will blog things you are genuinely interested in and not any and everything to keep up with the Jones’

Blogging isn’t as easy as it seems. There’s a lot of hours that go into it through creating content, taking and editing pictures, maintaining a social presence to name a few. I’d love to know in the comments below how you stay motivated to keep blogging?

Thank you for reading and hope to see you on my next post!

Shan, this is sooo me right now. I’ve literally come off of social media as I’m struggling with content. I need to find my mojo. Hopefully I find some inspiration soon, because it’s really getting to me 🙁

Why have I only just seen this? Honestly, I have gone to pot. I have no motivation to blog, lacking ideas and just generally in a rut. Hopefully we both come out of this soon!
