Today’s post is a little different from the usual but as I was going through my makeup on the weekend, I realised I have a lot of staples in my collection which you can buy for less than a tenner! This is mainly due to the fact that a lot of these are drugstore but nonetheless, I thought I’d share them anyway!
10 Beauty Products Under £10
Starting with my base products after cleansing my face before applying my foundation, I tend to lean towards my L’Oréal infallible fixing mist followed by the primer – both at £7.99. I like to spray the mist at an arms length away from my face and after a few seconds drying, I go in with the primer. The consistency of the primer is almost gel like but has a velvety feel to it if you can imagine what I mean.
Next is a drugstore foundation from Maybelline – £7.99 which I managed to get hold of in Superdrug (do not ask me how). Here in the U.K. I often find it is extremely difficult to get a drugstore foundation in realistic shades for poc. As you can see from the bottle I have, this is an older version of the product which at the time was the darkest shade available in Superdrug. It appears that there are now darker shades available, and I would say given the opportunity to colour match this foundation, you should as it’s a great foundation.
Lastly, I have the NYX HD Concealer – £5.50 in the shade nutmeg. This is a light concealer in comparison to my LA Girl concealer and that’s what drew me to this product. I have a post on my first time NYX goodies here.
Next I have my trusty MUA eyebrow pencil for just £1.00!!! This is a saviour as my MAC eyebrow pencil sets me back nearly £17 a time and we all know that ain’t cheap! I bought the Sleek Contour kit – £6.99 as part of my starter kit into makeup which I found good value for money. It has a highlighter and mirror in the compact and is the perfect size for travel. Staying with the brand Sleek, this Sugar blush palette -£9.99 is one of my more recent purchases and I’m happy I got to purchase this trio of colours together, for the price of two!
I have a few liquid lipsticks in my collection but these are NYX liquid suede – £6.50 in the shades Club Hopper and Downtown Beauty. The formula of these are great and there is a wide range of colours to choose from. I’m liking the NYX lip products which I’ve used so far and want to try more of their matte creams.
Last we have a couple of Rimmel items which include their Wonder’full Mascara – £7.99 and one of my favourite deep red lipsticks, Rimmel Kate Moss 107 – £5.49. I love the mascara because of the brush which has many small bristles to reach my short eyelashes. This gives the impression that they are much longer than they actually are. And finally, I don’t even need to say much about this shade lipstick, it is stunning on all skin tones, has a matte finish and is long wearing yet affordable. I have repurchased this a few times.
So there you have 10 items under £10. I am sure many of these products you have come across before but if not, I hope you have liked them. What are some of your affordable faves?
Thank you for reading and hope to see you on my next post!
