So I was on the hunt for a new setting spray – one that was equally as good as my Mac fix + but also one that I could fit into my everyday makeup bag as I find the Mac one isn’t the right size to carry around even though I always have a huge handbag – nuts right??
Infallible Mattifying Primer/Fixing Mist
This is my first purchase from Loreal and I am more than a satisfied customer with these products. I picked up this duo mainly because I wanted the setting spray but as many of you bloggers will know, you can’t go into Boots and leave with just one thing, especially when you have points to spend! You feel far less guilty than you would taking a fresh note from your purse and handing it over to a cashier, well I do anyway hehe.
Having combination skin is not the nicest but THIS product right here has been a life saver! This lives up to its name and really does mattify the skin. I love the way this product feels so silky and when applied, it allows your makeup to sit flawlessly giving a very smooth finish. I think it’s safe to say this is my favourite primer right now and for £7.99 it’s so affordable and can be found at your local drugstore!
I was initially drawn to this product because of the size and after speaking with Rachel a friend from Twitter, she recommended trying this mist, and you know once someone swears by something you ought to give it a go right? Well I did, I bought this and I would say I’m 80% happy with this spray.
The spray as you may not be able to see from the picture above, has to be shaken very well before use because it will leave white marks all over your face if not. White marks on fresh makeup isn’t cool lol so get your best cocktail shaking hand at the ready.
Other than this, I like how this spray sets my makeup and keeps it in place throughout the day. You can also use this before and during makeup application but for some reason I prefer to use this spray only after all makeup has been applied to finish, with short sprays throughout the day as and when needed.
Have you tried either of these products? How do you find them? Can you recommend any other bag friendly setting sprays? Thank you for reading xx
