The Bloggers Hangout event

Hey guys! So I’m excited for two reasons today. Firstly to bring you this post about #TheBloggersHangout event I attended on Monday, and secondly, to tell you about the bloggers #LNChitChat I’m hosting tonight between 10-11pm!

The Bloggers Hangout Event

This was my first ever bloggers event so thank you to The Blogger Hangout for having me! The event was held in Hoxton, London with a variety of brands across two rooms.

The brands showcased a wide range of incredible products across beauty, health & lifestyle and fashion including catwalks on the night.

As this was my first blogging event it was a great experience to meet up with fellow bloggers I often talk to on Twitter and great to see they’re even more lovely in person! It was also a great opportunity to meet and speak with so many different brands, getting to know a bit more about them and demonstrating a lot of their products.

A lot of the brands were kind enough to gift* us with goody bags of products you will see in this post. So without further ado, onto the brands we go!

Kenneth Turner

The first brand I want to talk about is Kenneth Turner. I was immediately drawn to this stand because it was beautifully dressed with candles, delicate flowers and beautiful vases. The stand was so pretty and reminded me of a wedding! Kenneth Turner pride themselves on presentation and you could clearly see this from the level of detail that went into the display and also the way the items were packaged with a strong floral theme throughout.

I love candles anyway and the scents by Kenneth Turner were amazing with ‘celebration’ and ‘bubbly’ being my favourite. I was really impressed with the sample scent cards received in the goody bag which each had a description and a colour coded ‘K’ to represent each individual scent. It’s a good way to share with others how amazing the fragrance is and my family fell in love with a few of the other scents. The range included candles, lotions, room mists/spray and more but what I found incredible was the burn time of up to 180 hours!

Sensationail / LAB2

Next up was the brand Sensationail. I love the play on words with the name here! I was excited to see this brand because as someone who has struggled with nail biting (forever), gel nail polish has really helped to grow and strengthen my nails recently. The concept behind the transformer is great because if like me you prefer to use gel nail polish, it means for any old polish you may have, it doesn’t have to be thrown away and you don’t need to spend much more buying new ones! I cannot wait to test this out and think I will do so when I go on holiday in a few weeks to be able to provide a full review on the Polish to Gel starter kit*.

Alongside Sensationail were LAB2 who pride themselves on making cruelty free makeup brushes and promise to provide ‘Luxe For Less’. There were so many beautiful brushes laid out on display and you could feel the quality immediately especially in the face brushes. I like that the handles are very firm to grip and the fibers of the brushes are soft against the skin. I was fortunate enough to receive the Stroke of Genius * eye set which is made up of a set of 5 brushes including eyeshadow, crease, eyeliner, angled brow and a spooly comb/brush. I am looking forward to playing around with them and my Morphe palette.

I was super excited about this brand as I am constantly striving for glowing skin but who isn’t right? We were greeted by the lovely Fiona who was so bubbly and welcoming to us all. Fiona informed us of how Amie was created as a solution to her daughters skin type. She went on to describe that Amie skincare range uses natural ingredients and of course we were intrigued to see more.  Then came the demos! I tested the deep pore exfoliating polish* (which is said to reveal clearer/smoother skin) in a pea sized amount on the back of my hand, and aside from anything else, the smell was gorgeous with a mix of mango and orange! However I will need to test this without using any other branded products to be able to provide a full review.

As well as the  exfoliating polish, I received a cleansing micellar water, purifying facial wash and a matte finish moisturiser which you can find here. I will be interested to see how each of the products perform and will do an in depth review once I have had the opportunity to use them all thoroughly.

All items shown above were gifted to me and have been marked with an (*).

Here are a few more pictures I captured on the night
