Morphin Time!

Hey ladies! I hope you have all had a great week but glad its the weekend right? I know I am! I’m sure you are all aware of the hype around Morphe Brushes and after reading many blog reviews and browsing their site, I had to get involved!

First up, I bought this set of Morphe brushes for just £11.25 from Beauty Bay. Most of the brushes I owned prior to these were from Real Techniques (which I love by the way) but I thought this could be the perfect opportunity to explore a new brand as they are so reasonable. The set is made up of 12 brushes mainly for eyes but includes brushes for blush and powder use too. I wanted eye brushes mainly to experiment with the new 35n palette I bought with this.

I also bought this beautiful buffing brush Morphe M439 from Cult Beauty which is compared to the Real Techniques expert face brush. I’d have to say on first impressions the handle of this is much firmer allowing you to really buff the foundation into the face. The bristles are incredibly soft but also very dense. Having used this only once I’ll have to use it more to get a better view but first impressions I’m loving it!

Onto the palette!

Can we just take a moment to welcome the Morphe 35N Matte Palette into my life please? As the name suggests the palette has 35 shades, yes 35 and for only £15.95 – this is less than £2.50 per shade! Not only does this palette offer a beautiful selection of colours ranging from light shades of beige through to black, providing subtle tones of pinks, purples and deeper earthy colours such as brown and khaki (which can be used as great transitional colours) but it’s very pigmented also.

The last thing I picked up were some Barry M nail varnishes in normal, matte and gel paint. There is an offer on in Boots on Barry M nails to buy 1 get 1 get 1 half price. I think this is a perfect time to grab some products from their new collection.

Colours from L-R: Freestyle, Acai Smoothie – Gel, Nude Vanilla – Matte, Chai – Gel, Vintage Violet

At the moment I am trying to grow my nails and have tried to make the most of maintaining them at home. I have a post on OPI which you can see here. I’ve always liked Barry M nail varnishes and the colours from the new collection are perfect for spring. I’m edging more towards gel nail varnish as these create a shellac effect which preserves the nail better than usual varnish and doesn’t chip as easily.

So ladies, there goes my latest purchases. I love every single product above on first impressions but will need to use them more to have a better picture of how they are. I’m definitely going to practice eye shadow looks with my new Morphe goodies!

Have you got any Morphe products? If yes what do you recommend? I love the colours of the 35o and 35t palette although they’re quite similar. Thanks for reading xx

Where have these been all of my life?
They look amazing quality, I’ve wanted to try a buffing brush, I’m not very adventurous with my makeup, I’d love to see more of what you think of this brush.

The palette looks incredible, the colours look so smooth and pigmented.

Thank you for introducing me to beauty bay, I’m having a good look around!

What is the difference between the 35o and 35n? I have been soooooo dissillusioned with highstreet shadows pallettes as the pigmentation is crap. I already suffer when it comes to eyeshadow as I have hooded slightly puffy eyes! Which makes application really hard, throw awful chalky weak eyeshadow into the mix and I hate it . Pallettes make sense as I cannot be dropping nearly 20 quid on individual shadows at counters but I’m having trust issues right now lol. So how pigmented would you say it is. Nice brushes though 😀 xx

The colours Hun, have a look at the 35o it’s gorgeous! The deep orangey, browns give me life! These palettes are soooooo good for the price, you can’t go wrong! x

I know that they are the colours:-) what I meant was what are the specific differences ? is one orangey and the other nude? Is it matte or shimmer?
I defo will look into them though xx
