Hey my lovelies, happy Sunday! Hi 5 if you are having a lazy day like me in your pjs watching all the omnibuses and catching up on blogs! I have been so busy this week and haven’t stopped but today is the day I bring myself to a halt! Over the weekend I went into Lakeside and stopped in the KIKO store to my surprise at their sale!
KIKO was one of the very first brands I tried for a foundation and I loved it when I bought it but as this was very early on in my walk of makeup I’ve never really spent a lot of time on the brand.
I see many great reviews for KIKO products on blogs and on a whim I walked into the store to have a browse. Immediately I was drawn to their sale and picked up 4 lipsticks, a nail lacquer and a gift set which included a candle, perfume and body lotion!
This set was the last of the lot and I’m so glad I picked this up because not only does it smell amazing, I can add a new hand cream (which I’m addicted to) and candle to my collection! I bought the nail lacquer separately for under £2 and you can’t go wrong with a red right?
The scent of Flowers and Freedom is light and fresh with a musky undertone. Whilst the candle is small in size I don’t think it will need to burn for long for the scent to spread throughout a room. The lotion has a smooth consistency and although this is for the body, I will use this for my hands only. Last in this set is a roll on edt which is the perfect size for a clutch bag and will definitely be used the next time I go out.
Can we take a moment to appreciate these lipsticks? *lovestruck eyes* The casing for these are pretty amazing with a sleek silver design. You press the top of the casing down and the lipstick pops out. Each lipstick says KIKO and they really do live up to what they say (luscious cream) having a smooth finish.
I bought 4 of these lipsticks for just £2 each in the colours 414, 510/Sensual Red, 511/Dark Scarlet Red and 515/Orchid. Similar to what I said in my last post these shades are quite similar to ones I already own although the orchid is probably the brightest I have dared to go and I think this would look great with a liner of a similar shade.
Overall I’m pleased with everything I bought in KIKO and for under £20 I think I got a right bargain! I would like to try some KIKO face products. Have you used any? What would you recommend? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!
