Latest Beauty Bits | MAC, MUA, Maybelline and B!

Hey guys! I’m stuck in bed due to a stomach bug and without giving too many gory details, I’ve not been feeling well ☹

As I recently bought some new make up bags to sort through my collection, I came across a few products that I had purchased but am still yet to use! Does anyone else do this – buy products and not use them straight away? Or forget that you even had something in your collection?

I think as a make up newbie I have gotten very carried away at times picking up any and everything when I pop into my local Superdrugs! Over the festive period there were so many offers mainly 3 for 2 across most brands so come on, it would’ve been rude not to!

First up, I have a drugstore foundation from the Superdrug B collection. The reason I initially purchased this was because I had seen this feature on one of my favourite Blogger/YouTubers Patricia Brights page as a foundation review which you can see here and here. It is an oil control foundation and as I have combination skin and can get quite oily in my t-zone area, I really wanted to give this a go! Once I finally get round to wearing this I will do a review.

My most recent purchase is the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer. I actually picked this up accidentally thinking it was this highlighter. Nonetheless I will keep this in my collection, I’m sure I’ll make use of it someday!

I bought this Elysium palette from MUA because I haven’t really got into wearing eye shadow as yet. I really like the colours in this palette, they are quite warm and I think these shades will suit my skin tone. I also like that it has a combination of matte and shimmery eye shadows and for £6 you can’t go wrong!

Next up I have these amazing Maybelline Matte lipsticks in colours 965/Siren in Scarlet and 975/Divine Wine at £6.99 each. For some reason EVERY time I pick up a new lipstick it is always in a very similar shade to one I already own but I love any shade of red in general and will never have too many! I am feeling deep purples too so this shade 975 is perfect for me. These have a really nice scent and they glide on the lips effortlessly! The lip liner is from MUA and is in the shade brooding plum at a steal for £1!

Lastly I have a couple of MAC products – the Prep + Prime Fix + and fluidline gel in dipdown. These are both products that I have seen used heavily by vloggers on YouTube. Many have recommended the prep and prime (£17) as a finishing product to keep make up in place and others have also recommended using it before applying make up by spraying it onto brushes or sponges for a flawless foundation application. I also bought the dipdown gel (£16) to use for my eyebrows as this gives a natural finish to the brows.

And so that’s it, my latest beauty bits! Let me know if you have any of these, what are you loving/hating from the above? Any tips if you have got these? Thanks for reading x

Much better thanks hun! Yes I agree, you can get some great products from MUA and Revolution without feeling guilty! I’ve used the Mac Prep and Prime as a finishing spray and I think it’s ok but I would like to use it as I apply my foundation next time to see if that makes a difference! Thanks for reading hun xx
