It’s my birthday! *dances*
I had an absolutely amazing time in and around London appreciating how beautiful the place is at times. As I celebrated turning another year older, I really took the time to appreciate life over great food and even better company.
I really really wanted to visit this restaurant however let’s just say now this is off my list I will not be in a hurry to return! 🙁 I wanted to love the food but I just didn’t feel what we ate was anything special. We had a few drinks to start followed by a lamb dish which was tasty. That gave me high hopes but then we ate a seafood dish which was the complete opposite!
The best thing about the restaurant are the views from the 39th floor of the Heron Tower – it was amazing! Overlooking London, the pretty lights, it just had me in awe and gave me time to reflect on things.
After visiting Sushi Samba for the first time, I was a little disappointed with the meal and the cocktails which faired little variety. Perhaps the menu in general was slightly overpriced in my opinion, however on a positive note, the setting was amazing. With views overlooking the city and an amazing open burning fire, this could definitely be the destination for drinks on the terrace.
To top off my birthday dinner, I had the pleasure of attending a SPA with a friend for total relaxation and my goodness did we do just that! I hadn’t been to a SPA for ages and it was a really nice end to my birthday to literally unwind.
Sometimes we find ourselves being SO BUSY we do not take time to appreciate the importance of REST! I for one will try to attend a SPA at least once a month in line with my look good/feel good lifestyle approach (whether this actually happens is another story but I will keep you guys posted)!
